Release loads up to 20 tons (~44,000 lbs) under full working load - with a single pull, pneumatic trigger, hydraulic actuation, or remote electric signal. No load reduction required.
"We release your weights"
Six on-load release hook series - each engineered for specific load ranges and operating environments. All available with multiple actuation options and grade-matched materials.
Release under full working load - no need to reduce or remove the load before disconnection. Critical for emergency operations, remote environments, and high-tension applications.
Manual lever, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuator - the only manufacturer offering all four configurations on the same product series. Select the method that fits your system.
316 · 316L · Duplex Stainless Steel · ST37 · ST52 - material selected to match your operating environment, corrosion exposure, and certification requirements.
Engineered to handle loads from multiple directions without performance degradation - critical for offshore mooring, towing, and crane operations in dynamic environments.
Standard range covers 800 kg (~1,760 lbs) to 20 tons (~44,000 lbs). Custom Safe Working Load ratings and special configurations available on request for non-standard applications.
Designed and produced in Tuzla, Istanbul - one of the world's leading shipbuilding and marine equipment manufacturing hubs. Fast lead times and competitive pricing.
Every PRD Hook product series is available with four actuation configurations. Select the method that best fits your system design, safety requirements, and operating environment.
Lever or handle-operated mechanical release. Simple, reliable, no external power required. Ideal for applications where direct operator access is available.
Compressed air actuated release. Enables remote operation without electrical systems - preferred in ATEX/hazardous environments and offshore applications.
Hydraulic pressure actuated. High force output in compact form - suitable for high-SWL applications and systems with existing hydraulic circuits.
Electric actuator with remote signal control. Enables integration with control systems, automation panels, and remote operation. Available for all series.
PRD Hook release hooks are deployed across demanding industries where load release under full tension is a safety-critical requirement.
An on-load release hook disconnects a load while it is still under full working tension - without reducing the load first. It uses an over-center mechanism that converts a small input force (lever, air, hydraulic, or electric signal) into an instantaneous release against the full load.
All PRD Hook series are available with four configurations: Manual (lever, no power required), Pneumatic (compressed air, ideal for ATEX/offshore), Hydraulic (high-force, integrates with vessel systems), and Electric (remote control, automation integration).
A conventional hook can only be opened after the load is reduced or slack is introduced. An on-load release hook releases under full tension - critical for emergencies, towing, offshore mooring, and drop testing where load reduction before release is impossible or unsafe.
Material is selected per application: 316 and 316L Stainless Steel for marine environments, Duplex Stainless Steel for offshore/subsea, ST37 and ST52 Steel for heavy industrial applications.
PRD Hook designs and manufactures precision-engineered on-load release hooks for marine, offshore, construction, and industrial applications. Based in Tuzla, Istanbul - one of Turkey's premier maritime manufacturing districts - we combine engineering expertise with grade-matched material selection to deliver release hooks that perform reliably under the most demanding conditions.
Our product range covers Safe Working Loads from 800 kg (~1,760 lbs) to 20 tons (~44,000 lbs), with manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuation options. All hooks are designed to release under full working load - the critical capability that distinguishes an on-load hook from conventional quick-release mechanisms.
